At Equip Expo 2025 in Louisville, Sunseeker Robotics officially unveiled the Sunseeker S4, the company’s first LiDAR-equipped robotic mower for the U.S. market. With advanced 3D vision, wire-free deployment, and ultra-fast Drop-to-Go setup, the S4 introduces a new level of intelligence and convenience to autonomous lawn maintenance. Alongside the launch, Sunseeker also announced 2025 software upgrades for its Elite X7 model and teased a future innovation—the industry’s first Zero-Edge Cutting system.

Smarter Navigation with AllSense 3D Vision

The Sunseeker S4 is built on the company’s proprietary AllSense™ 3D sensing architecture, combining a 360° LiDAR system and an AI-powered camera to deliver superior mapping and obstacle avoidance. Its perception engine processes over 210,000 data points per second and reacts within just 0.125 seconds. With a 360° × 70° field of view, it can detect and navigate around both stationary and moving objects in real time, ensuring safe, efficient mowing even in complex environments.

Setup in Minutes with Drop-to-Go Technology

Forget perimeter wires and antennas—the Sunseeker S4 operates entirely wire-free. The Drop-to-Go system allows users to start mowing in as little as two minutes, while AI-based automatic mapping defines virtual boundaries and routes with minimal user input. At its core lies an upgraded 10 TOPS processing chip, enabling real-time perception, improved cut precision, and consistent operation on uneven or narrow terrain. This makes the S4 ideal for homeowners and landscaping professionals seeking a plug-and-play smart mowing solution.

Elite X7 Software Upgrades for 2025

In addition to the S4 debut, Sunseeker Robotics rolled out major software improvements for the Elite X7. These include enhanced object recognition (supporting over 200 object classes), automated weekly scheduling that adapts to lawn size and daylight conditions, and smarter mapping tools such as a real-time heatmap for optimizing RTK base-station placement. Together, these upgrades refine the X7’s core systems—Full Auto-Driving, Efficient & Perfect Mowing, and All-Terrain Conquer—into a more reliable and intelligent daily performer.

Looking Ahead: Zero-Edge Cutting and 5-Fusion Positioning

As a preview of its next leap, the company showcased its upcoming Zero-Edge Cutting system, an industry-first design that allows mowing right up to the boundary line for an immaculate finish. This innovation, expected to launch next year, will integrate seamlessly with existing workflows. Alongside it, Sunseeker’s future 5-Fusion Positioning System aims to enhance perception accuracy and spatial precision even further.
