LG Viper 4G LTE Android Smartphone Hits Sprint

LG Viper 4G LTE Smartphone Android

While Optimus VU and other LG’s LTE device such as Optimus Pad LTE are busy in talk, the LG Viper comes to us quietly through Sprint network. If you want to enjoy the LTE emerging technology, this could be your best time to think seriously before the pre-order sesion start openning on April 12. Though the LG Viper phone will be available later this month, but customers won’t be able to enjoy the Sprint’s fast 4G LTE network until mid-212 as the company planned to cover 4G LTE in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio beginning mid-year 2012.

Okay let’s forget about the 4G LTE feature and take a closer look at the powerhouse. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system (OS) platform, LG Viper is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and a 1 GB of RAM. It also sports a microSD slot in case the built-in 4G memory is not enough. In addition to the dual camera (front and rear), this Android smartphone has mobile hotspot capability that enables users to share their 4G LTE fast connection with surrounding devices. And the other lovely features those you will love most include: Near Field Communication (NFC), a 4-inch touchscreen, and a Corning® Gorilla® Glass screen protector.

LG Optimus LTE is not the Only LTE Devices by LG

Just to refresh your mind, LG first launched the Optimus LTE in October 2011 in Korea, but now the world’s first HD LTE smartphone is currently available in more countries including America, Canada, and Japan. I don’t know how success it is in comparison with Samsung Galaxy S in term of sales (not specs), but according to the company, Optimus LTE had exceeded over one million units in Late January (or in the first three months).

If you want to enter and join the emerging LTE era, now the Optimus LTE is not the only LG’s device you can have. At MWC 2012, LG introduced a new LTE-capable smatrphone — the Optimus VU. But I can’t say that the origin Optimus LTE is already obsolete, as the Optimus VU still in the process to hit the shelves. Optimus VU just says hello in Korea this month, and I think it needs an extra time to poke its fans in America, United Kingdom, and the rest of the world. Is your country ready for the LTE network? I hope yes.
