Casio to Produce Its First Bluetooth Low Energy Watch This Year

Casio Bluetooth Low Energy Watch

Casio has developed a watch using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, which the prototype of the watch was exhibited at the recent CES in Las Vegas. The wristwatch sharing a two-way data link with a BLE-equipped smartphones, and has various functions including alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer, world time, and auto calendar. The watch can be synchronized with time information transmitted from a smartphone and alerts users of incoming calls and e-mail messages sent to a smartphone.

Casio PRIZM fx-CG10 Graphing Calculator

Casio released the PRIZM fx-CG10 graphing calculators featuring high-resolution color LCD and various functions designed to assist with math lessons. PRIZM™ includes the world’s first Picture Plot function that enables users to plot graphs over curves and other familiar shapes in real life, such as the parabola of jets from a water fountain. The high-resolution color LCD delivers full textbook-style display. PRIZM™ will be available in January 2011 with an MSRP of $129.99.

G-Shock X Surfrider Digital Watch


G-Shock and the Surfrider Foundation createed its second co-branded collaboration watch: The GRX5600SRF-3 digital watch. The watch has Self-Charging, Tough Solar Power technology, shock resistant construction, recycled packaging, a Tide Graph function with 100 pre-set site locations as well as a Moon Age & Phase Data indicator for the ultimate tracking the tides. Casio G-Shock GXW-56 Series


Coming with a newly developed impact-proof body, the new Casio G-Shock GXW-56 Series also feature Togh Solar and Multiband. Expected to be available in Japan starting next month (July), the GXW-56 watch will be offered in three model including Orange/Black, Black/Red, and Black/Gold. Which one do you want?


Kyocera Recrystallized Ruby Used in G-Shock Brand MR-G Series


Kyocera Corporation today announced that the company’s recrystallized ruby — also known as ‘created ruby’ — has been used in Casio’s G-Shock Brand MR-G Series (ruby is used in the city code display design ring) for the first time in a decorative design application as watch parts. The limited-edition watch which utilizes Kyocera’s recrystallized ruby will be featured at Casio’s booth in one of the world’s largest international watch and jewelry shows, BASELWORLD 2010 (Palace 4), taking place in Basel, Switzerland from March 18-25.


Casio’s New GREEN SLIM Projectors


Casio announced changes being made in the product lineup of it’s new GREEN SLIM Projectors, which introduced on January 6, 2010 during the International Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. At this time, Casio will not be launching the GREEN SLIM 3000 lumen projector models (XJ-A255/A250/A155/A150). The new GREEN SLIM lineup:
