I got my DVD Camcorder today, the Sony DCR-DVD808E Handycam. It took me about 2 hours to familiar with all buttons and navigations. I like the touchscreen LCD panel, it is easy to use. Last but not least i have learned much from the DVD tutorial HOWTO make a good film, it described clearly the concept of what-who-where-when when creating a movie. Ok guys, i will tell you more later on.

World First Blu-Ray Camcorder Finally Broke by Hitachi

After more than a year talking about concept of Blu-Ray camera, finally Hitachi celebrates the long struggle as its first Blu-Ray camera unveiled recently. Hitachi has two models DZ-BD7H and DZ-BD70. The first one comes with 30GB HDD and 8cm BD disc recorder but the second one comes with BD recorder only.

So what are the staring features? here they are: 5.3Mpic CMOS, record video in FULL HD 1920×1080 in BD Mode and HDV 1440×1080 in HDD mode. Is that all? no you can also record in lower format 8cm DVD 720×480.

High-Def become popular day by day, and camcorder manufacturer never stop to enhance its high-def related products second by second. That’s a Sony who promises to ship two new high-def camcorder in the next July 9th. And those are HDR-SR5C & HDR-SR8. Both camcorders share some identical features such as 3.2 MP video sensor, 10x optical zoom, and IS (image stabilization).

The feature that make the one is differ than another is the integrated storage capacity and the AVCHD feature (which SR5C boasts 100GB and support AVCHD/H.264 format, but the SR8 has 40GB only). Its price set at $1300 for the SR8, but you must spend $300 more to have the SR5C model. [via ubergizmo]
