Toshiba has three new tablets with different display sizes – 13.3-inch, 10.1-inch and 7.7-inch. In this post, I want to show you the 10.1-inch model. Known as Excite 10, this tablet runs Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich just like the other two. Coming with a scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass display, the Excite 10 boasts a 1280×800 resolution with 10-finger multi-touch support.
A 10-inch is Steve Jobs’ favorite tablet size, that’s why the iPad is only availbale in this model. Other than that, it will be too small or too big for our hand. Do you agree with Jobs? Along with the ICS taste, the Toshiba Excite 10 tablet also offers a simplified UI, easy multitasking, customizable home screens, resizable widgets and a full suite of Google apps.

For a long time, the world waited with bated breath for the release of the current Android Operating System, Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich as it is also known as. This even finally occurred in October of 2011 when the operating system was first released on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, a phone specifically designed to use the new operating system. Now that this release has passed, many are now setting their sites on another version of Android that will be the future of the operating system.
This new version of Android will be known as Android 5.0 and in keeping with the trend of sugary snacks, Jelly Bean. Since it is still early in the development process, little is known exactly about the Jelly Bean operating system. However, there is some speculation regarding the new operating system upgrade.
One change that is likely to occur with Android Jelly Bean is that Chrome will probably become the main internet browser on all mobile phones using the Android Jelly Bean operating system. This will be quite a change as it will provide the same quality internet browser as we are accustomed to on our personal computers.
Current trends in mobile phone design are featuring bigger and bigger screens to perform more functions similar to a computer. In many situations, these larger phones that use Android Jelly Bean can be turned to landscape mode and used must like a tablet.
Another trend in mobile phone design that Android Jelly Bean is likely to capitalize on is the dual and quad core processors. Android Jelly Bean is expected to harness the power of these processors and offer users a faster experience. This also means more strain will be put on the phone’s battery with this faster speed. Therefore, Android will need to be designed to use the battery power in a much more efficient manner to prevent quick draining.

Do you remember the futuristic technology that was shown at CeBIT 2007? A monitor that’s equipped with a high technology sensor that respons to hand motion. And 5 years later, we can find such futuristic invention in the real world, in Sony Xperia sola to be exact. Scheduled to ship in Q2 2012, the Xperia sola brings what they call “floating touch”, a technology that allows us navigate the web by hovering their finger above the screen so it acts like a moving curser, without actually having to touch the screen. I can’t tell that “floating touch” based on the same motion sensor, but I think it’s a bit similar to them.
Sony Xperia sola also comes with SmartTags and supoorts NFC pairing. With SmartTags, users can siwtch between pre-configured profiles by simply touching the phone on a SmartTag (see video). And with NFC, users are allowed to connnect to other NFC smartphones by tapping together. Powered by a 1GHz Dual Core Processor, Sony Xperia sola runs Android 2.3 with upgrade option later. Other highlights: 3.7” display (854 x 480 pixels); 8 GB internal storage; microSD slot; up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 470 hours of standby time.

Many gamers like to play not only on their PCs or other gaming platforms, but on their phones, too. For a long time I thought that there are no “serious” games for phones other than puzzles and those annoying Angry Birds, but a couple of days ago I found out that there are games in one of my most favorite genres, MMO RPG, too!
Of course, not all phones are powerful enough to run some of the games we’re going to discuss below, but a simple phone comparison can help you find out if your phone is good enough or if it’s the right time to buy a new one.
Anyway, here are the best 3 MMO RPGs I managed to find during these days. The first two will run on almost any phone while for the third you’ll need a more powerful device.
