I heard that Bill Gates had predicted the coming of tablet era years before iPad was born to the world. I have watched the video showing his futuristic imagination, and I can tell you what I heard is true. And now, more than two years after the iPad’s release, Bill Gates’ company introduces its tablet computer called Surface. Scheduled to be available later this year, the Surface tablet has a 10.6-inch display and will run Microsoft Windows 8 operating system.

Acer ICONIA A510, an HD Tablet!

At CeBIT 2012 in Hannover, Germany last March, Acer introduced two new Android-based tablet, the ICONIA A700 and A510. The A700 is a 10.1-inch Full HD tablet with display resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, the A700 is scheduled to be released this month but I lost its track. So let’s focus on its little brother, the ICONIA A510 which is available at Amazon.com for $449.99.

Known as Excite 10, this tablet runs Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich just like the other two. Coming with a scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass display, the Excite 10 boasts a 1280×800 resolution with 10-finger multi-touch support.

A 10-inch is Steve Jobs’ favorite tablet size, that’s why the iPad is only availbale in this model. Other than that, it will be too small or too big for our hand. Do you agree with Jobs? Samsung Galaxy Tab Price (Updated)

Since I found more and more people asking me about the Samsung Galaxy Tab price, I want to make it simple and easy for everybody, including you. As we know, Samsung has announced and exhibited the Galaxy Tab 2 series at MWC last month. The new series include a 7″ version and a 10.1″ version. Eventhough the company stated that the new series will be launched in global market this month starting from UK, I can’t find it at Amazon.co.uk yet, but it should be at the local stores there. Meanwhile, what I can do right now is displaying the price list of previous models, but I’ll keep you updated from time to time. (all the prices are based on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk)

To give you beter overview, the previous generation of Samsung galaxy Tab has three different versions based on the display size: Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and the first generation Galaxy Tab (7-inch). And each version has a variety of models based on the storage capacity and WiFi/3G capability. Okay let’s go to the point and start from the larger 10.1″ model.
