I heard that Bill Gates had predicted the coming of tablet era years before iPad was born to the world. I have watched the video showing his futuristic imagination, and I can tell you what I heard is true. And now, more than two years after the iPad’s release, Bill Gates’ company introduces its tablet computer called Surface. Scheduled to be available later this year, the Surface tablet has a 10.6-inch display and will run Microsoft Windows 8 operating system.

At CeBIT 2012 in Hannover, Germany last March, Acer introduced two new Android-based tablet, the ICONIA A700 and A510. The A700 is a 10.1-inch Full HD tablet with display resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, the A700 is scheduled to be released this month but I lost its track.
