Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the new GETAC PS535F is designed for any field-based engineers who need to capture field data on-site and transmit that data back to headquarters in real-time. The PS535F features comprehensive wireless connectivity options, including integrated Bluetooth V2.0 and 802.11b/g WiFi. Users can connect the PS535F to a GIS server and instantly transmit or process data in the field using a GETAC Bluetooth modem or mobile phone. This Rugged GPS/PDA also features 3.5” VGA touch screen display with sunlight readable technology, a built-in 3 megapixel auto-focus camera, altimeter and E-compass that make it a complete device for surveyors.

The new Asus P835 was launched last week in Taiwan. This PDA phone equipped with a large 3.5-inch touchscreen that sports WVGA (800 x 480) resolution. It means you will have the best document, photo, movie and website viewing experience possible on mobile handheld. Combined with HSUPA 7.2Mbps download speeds, the P835 is kind of device that ideal for web-browsing. Highlight features: Opera Mobile, ASUS’ exclusive Glide user interface, and a responsive trackball. And last but not least, the device can act as a Wi-Fi Access Point to share its high-speed HSPA internet connection over Wi-Fi with up to 10 devices.

Expected to hit the street in early summer, the HTC Touch Pro2 was unveiled last week at MWC together with the Touch Diamond2. But unlike the Diamond2, the Pro2 comes with large finger-friendly QWERTY keyboard for heavy email use, it’s good for business professionals. In addition to the people-centric communication and Push Internet technology, the Touch Pro2 also completed with HTC Straight Talk for maximum communication experiences. And last but not least, the Touch Pro2 features a high-resolution 3.6-inch widescreen VGA and TouchFLO 3D of course.

The DX900 is the last Tempo series that I want to mention. Unlike the other three, the DX900 is claimed as the world’s first dual-sim smartphone to support both 3G and 2G SIMs. This feature allows you manage two numbers; one for business and other for personal activities. Coming with 3 Megapixels camera, the DX900 is also equipped with micro SD card slot for storage expansion.

The new HTC Touch Diamond2 smartphone was unveiled last week at MWC. HTC bringing new people-centric communication approach into this smartphone. It means users are offered a single contact view that displays the individual conversation history of contacts regardless of whether voice, text or email were used. Perhaps you can imagine the feature close to the Gmail’s conversation-style, may be not.

Unlike the X960 which targeting Adventurers, the new Acer Tempo M900 is aimed for business. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the M900 comes with fingerprint reader and a sliding physical keyboard to match business needs. Featuring a large 3.8” WVGA touch screen, this smartphone also pre-installed with Outlook Mobile that allows users to access their email on the go.

After F900, The second of Acer Tempo smartphone series that I want to mention is the X960. Designed for adventure, this phone comes with GPS hardware and software pre-installed. But actually you can expect more as it’s also has PDA, camera, and MP3 player. And of course you can browse the web, read and reply to emails, and socialize online. Did I mentioned make phone calls?

After iPhone available for pre-order in Indonesia, now G1 phone (HTC Dream Android) hitting Singapore and Australia. It’s Asia’s turn to get the phenomenon, not too late. The G1 will be delivered through Singtel for Singapore and Optus for Australia.
