TomTom launched the GO 1050 World, with lifetime Maps, in China. TomTom’s new GO 1050 World is fitted with a 5” screen, maps of China and access to over 50 countries and areas including: Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, the US and Canada. The new Garmin StreetPilot comes with an intuitive Garmin interface, ultra-fast map drawing, panning and zooming. Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), and iPad, the StreetPilot app also features Garmin’s exclusive PhotoReal junction view, lane guidance, 3D buildings, trip planner, and includes millions of inbuilt Points of Interest (POI). The redesigned Garmin’s Rino® 610, 650 and 655t boast up to a 20-mile communication range, a barometric altimeter, 3-axis tilt compensated compass and NOAA weather radio. The GPS-enabled handheld two-way radios also include a 2.6” glove-friendly touchscreen and are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2011. The Rino 610 and 650 have a suggested retail price of $349 and $499.99, respectively. The Rino 655t has a suggested retail price of $599.99.

Garmin announced the redesigned and upgraded eTrex handheld GPS device. This entry level device has been given enhanced ergonomics, an improved interface, paperless geocaching and in certain models, a 65k color screen with expanded mapping capabilities. With up to 25 hours of battery life, the new eTrex devices are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2011. The eTrex 10 and 20 have a suggested retail price of $119.99 and $199.99, respectively. The eTrex 30 has a suggested retail price of $299.99.
