PENTAX K-01 Mirrorless Camera Designed by Marc Newson

His works are ranging across multi-disciplines, from furniture to aricraft, from bicycles to yachts. Continuing his artworks, now he designed the camera body of PENTAX K-01 mirrorless intechangeable lens camera. Bringing contemporary style, the camera is available in black, white and Newson’s signature yellow colors with autograph logo stamp on the bottom of the camera body. In addtion the camera, the new sms PETAX-D4 40mm F2.8 XS lens is also touched by Newson to deliver a great combination with high design standard.

Beside the unique design, the 16 megapixel PENTAX K-01 camera also attracts consumers with its advanced features including high resolution 3″ LCD; Sensor-shift PENTAX Shake and Dust Reduction system; 6 FPS burst mode; Focus peaking mode; and ISO range of 100-25600. Mentioned as the world’s thinnest interchangeable lens for lens-interchangeable digital SLR cameras, the K-01 is scheduled to be available in March for $749.95USD (body only) and $899.95 (lens kit including new DA 40mm XS) in Marc Newson designed packaging and with the Marc Newson designed strap.

Regarding videography, the PENTAX K-01 features a dedicated video recording button that enable users to easily capture full HD 1080p video at 30FPS with h.264 compression or 60 FPS at 720p. It’s also comes equipped with a stereo microphone in addtion to the external microphone input terminal. HDMI terminal is also available that allows users to play the recording on their HDTV.
