NW is a new entry into VAIO series. Announced yesterday by Sony, the new 15.5″ VAIO NW laptop comes with Blue-ray drive. You may fear that the price will be high because of the drive, uhm.. it’s priced at $880, you know. But if you ask Sony to remove the Blu-ray drive, it’s $80 cheaper. It means the Blue-ray drive costs you under $80, that’s not fair. Why? on VAIO Z, you need to pay an extra $500 to have Blue-ray drive instead of DVD drive. Highlights: 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 400GB HDD, 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 graphics, a 4x BD-ROM drive, webcam, 802.11a/b/g/n, and up to 5.5 hours of battery life.

It’s so an interesting post. Why does Sony only reduce $80 for un-Blu-Ray device of this gadget? Do you know the reason behind this scenario? Thanks.
