This is the world’s slimmest HDTV, coming from Korean-based manufacturer Samsung. With only 6.5mm thick the TVs boasts LED backlight technology and support Samsung’s Motion plus technology (240Hz). I don’t see the sense in designing ultra slim large screen TVs, other than aesthetics. Its not that they need to be slim to save space or to cut weight so they are portable. I would rather see that R&D money spent on improving the audio/video quality, the user interface of the on-screen guide, etc.
