I always suggest my friend to implement gigabit network using Cat 6 UTP copper for their new office’s LAN instead of wireless network. My main reason is the speed of wireless network is much slower than copper technology. But in my view, the adoption of Cat 6 network or gigabit network using copper is still rare, in my office still using Cat 5 UTP and migrating to Cat 6 means need to replace the entire cable, a lot work to do.
