As mentioned by T3, Sony planned to launch the PlayTV in September with price at £78. Designed as an add-on gadget for the PS3, the PlayTV allows the console to act as a personal video recorder.
It sports dual TV tuners with full access to Freeview, so users can record one channel while watching another and take advantage of features like pausing, rewinding and fast-forwarding live TV.
