Garmin Introduces Big-Screen MFDs: GPSMAP 1,272 views

Great news for yachts and powerboats owner as Garmin announced the new GPSMAP 5×15 that features 15-inch XGA display at 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and the GPSMAP 4×10 that features 10.4-inch SVGA screen at 800×600 pixel resolution. Those big-screen multi-function displays (MFDs) are sunlight readable and will be available in March 2008. And as mentioned on the press release, both devices are compatible with Garmin marine Network.
“These new MFDs are as powerful as they are pretty to look at,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. “Their vivid, big, and bright displays catch the eye, but they boast plenty of cutting-edge, market-leading innovations as well.”
