The Upcoming Hitachi HDTVs are Super Thin

According to its press release that was announced recently, Hitachi planned to throw its new ultra thin HDTvs to the markets starting at Q1 of 2008. The HDTVs will be only 3.5 cm thick and the size will be available in 32-inch (at 1366 x 768), 37-inch (at 1920 x 1080), and 42-inch (at 1920 x 1080 resolution). The technology behind this super thin HDTV is EEFL backlighting technology that is believed to consume less power compare to the normal LED backlit.
