Why UMA, the UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) allowing seamless roaming and handover between WLAN and GSM/GPRS or UMTS using dual-mode mobile phone. Adopting this technology could benefits the operators as well as the subscribers at the same time. The operator can deliver rich voices and data services to users through WLAN and decreasing the costs of airtime to make subscribers happy. As a new UMA phone, the Nokia 6301 equipped with 2-inch QVGA screen, 30 MB of internal memory, MP3 player, FM radio, microSD card slot, and USB.
The Nokia 6301 is predicted to hit stores in Q4 of 2007 in Europe with the pricing set at about 230 euros. No words yet about he availability in the US.
