Despite the low sales of Its PS 3, totally the sales of Sony`s game console still growing with the help of PlayStation 2. This seven years-old console outselling the PS3 by a ratio of 4 to 1 in the Q2 of 2007. So it is mean that PS2 still an attractive platform for game publishers, for example EA has announced the PS 2 version of its upcoming “Rock Band” game at the Leipzig fair.

“We are committing funds for PS2 … we encourage third parties to continue development for PS2. If they bring a PS3 version out, they can bring a PS2 version out as well,” David Reeves, head of Sony’s European games unit, told Reuters on the sidelines of the Leipzig Games Convention on Thursday.
