The Asus P5M2-E/4L is the new Asus serverboard that designed for single-processor that support Dual-Core/Quad Core Intel Xeon Processor 3000/3200 sequence for better computing performance. Regarding memory, the board offers dual channel DDR2 533/667 slot that ideal for 64-bit architecture. And what about the connectivities? As a Serverboard, the new P5M2-E/4L equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet Controllers which is designed and optimized for “Load-balance” and “Fail-over” function, thank to the Quad-Lan “teaming” adoption.

According to the report, the adoption of Quad-lan also enhance the network performance almost 4 times faster compare to single-Lan platform. Other high-end features include PCI 32 bit/33MHz slots, PCI-Ex8 (x1 link), PCI-Ex16 (x8 link), and web based management as well as monitoring system, thank to the ASWM2.0 sofware. Price and availability has not been mentioned as of yet.
