Finally Mass Production of ‘$100 Laptop’ Begins 1,438 views

After five years talking and researching, finally the OLPC program take to the most waiting step: Mass Productions. Yes the $100 laptop now under mass production level and should be delivered to children in developing countries in the next three months (October 2007). “There’s still some software to write, but this is a big step for us,” said Walter Bender, head of software development at One Laptop per Child (OLPC), as reported by BBC News website. No words yet about what country will be delivered first.
