Yes it is free of charge for Singapore citizens as well as visitors. As reported by detikinet.com, according to Lee Boon, Ministry of Information and Communication of Singapore, “The Wireless@SG program aims to deliver most of business center, homes, offices and schools, and public places with free broadband access” he said during an opening ceremony of CommunicAsia 2007 in Singapore todays, “until now there are already 430,000 member have joined the program” he added.

The Wireless@SG was initiated by Singapore Government and now is operated bi iCELL Network, QMax Communications and Singtel. Soon after joining the program, user will enjoy free single account broadband access for the next 3 years. [via detikinet]
