According ti Wikipedia, “High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) (Sometimes known as High-Speed Downlink Protocol Access) is a 3G mobile telephony protocol in the HSPA family, which provides a smooth evolutionary path for UMTS-based networks allowing for higher data transfer speeds. Current HSDPA deployments now support 1.8 Mbit/s, 3.6 Mbit/s, 7.2 Mbit/s and 14.4 Mbit/s in downlink. Further speed grades to 28.8Mbit/s and beyond this are planned for the future.”
